Nanostructured oxide semiconductors, particularly TiO2, can be promising candidates for photoelectronic applications such as solar cells and energy storage. To produce nanostructures, self-assembled block copolymers are effective templates because the size and morphology can be easily controlled by the molecular weight and composition of copolymers. In this study, we fabricated mesoporous TiO2 thin films by self-assembled block copolymers with TiO2 nanoparticles. We first synthesized TiO2 nanoparticles which have the anatase crystalline phase by hydrolysis of titanium tetraisopropoxide. Then, mesoporous TiO2 films were fabricated by removing the copolymers from the mixtures of block copolymers and TiO2 nanoparticles. The thickness of mesoporous TiO2 films was optimized by repeating the coating process for photovoltaic applications. In addition, the pore size was controlled by the molecular weight of block copolymers. |
