Solvent-based polyurethane are being restricted in their traditional applications, in many countries due to the environmental regulations. Waterborne polyurethane were dispersed in the aqueous phase by neutralization emulsification. However, waterborne polyurethane is vulnerable to the gradual hydrolysis of the carboxyl- and sulfonate group. In this work, waterborne polyurethane were prepared from polyester polyol, H12MDI, DMPA and sulfopropylated propylene glycol-α,ω-diamine(SPDA). Physical properties of this waterborne polyurethane showed that increased tensile strength and hydrolysis stability. |
