제목 Preparation and characterization of PEI impregnated-activated carbon fibers for enhanced CO2 capture
초록 In this work, we have prepared activated carbon fibers impregnated with polyethyleneimine (PEI), followed by cyclic CO2 adsorption experiments from flue gas condition. Activated carbon fibers used in this work are mainly consist of micropores as indicated in N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms. These textures of the samples are so favorable for CO2 adsorption since CO2 can be adsorbed in micropore rather than mesopore. Also, polyethyleneimine impregnated onto carbon surfaces gave the adsorbents CO2 affinity sites, leading to highly selective CO2 adsorption process in the mixed gas condition. From the results, the prepared adsorbents can be applied for carbon capture and sequestration systems.
