Fabrication of PS/PMMA nanorods using AAO templates |

We fabricated hexagonally-packed core-shell type nanorods consisting of poly (methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) as a core and polystyrene (PS). To investigate the core-shell morphology depending on the interface, nonreactive PS/PMMA, and reactive mono-carboxylated terminated polystyrene (PS-mCOOH)/poly (methyl methacrylate–r-glycidylmethacrylate) (PMMA-GMA) were used. Each polymer layer was sequentially spin-coated onto a silicon oxide wafer and the bilayer film was putted into nanopores in anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) templates and then annealed at 180°C under vacuum for 24 h. |
