제목 Thermosensitive micelles block copolymers containing β-cyclodextrin for drug carrier application
초록 A temperature-sensitive drug carrier system for prednisolone acetate (PA) based on β-cyclodextrin has been synthesized. Initially, block copolymers of poly(ethylene oxide)-b-poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-glycidyl methacrylate)) (PEO-b-PNIPAm-co-PGMA) were prepared by reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer polymerization using a PEO macro-initiator. Subsequently, PEO-b-PNIPAm-co-PGMA copolymers were functionalized with β-cyclodextrin by epoxide ring-opening reaction, resulting in thermosensitive block copolymers with pendant cyclodextrin group which were then modified inclusion-complex formation of cyclodextrin with PA drug. The loading efficiency increased in the polymer β-cyclodextrin conjugate compared to native β-cyclodextrin. The thermo-responsive micelles enhanced cytotoxicity against human breast cancer cells in vitro.
