Cu-based catalyst supported on cerium-zirconium mixed oxide is known to have a high CO oxidation performance under diesel exhaust conditions. However, the catalyst is severely deactivated after hydrothermal aging. In this study, various promoters were investigated for stabilizing the Cu-based catalyst, and it is discovered that addition of the specific promoters can lead to improving the thermal stability of the catalyst. Cu-based catalyst containing the specific promoters shows a smaller decrease of surface area than the bare catalyst upon hydrothermal aging. |
