Direct Benzene Hydroxylation with H2O2 under CO2 Expanded System with Microwave Synthesized Ti-TUD-1 Catalyst |

By the advantages of microwave synthesis metal loaded TUD-1(Ti-TUD-1, Cu-TUD-1 etc.) were successfully prepared by using triethanolamine (TEA) as both structure directing and chelating agents. Further this M-TUD-1 catalysts were investigated in the liquid-phase hydroxylation of phenol with H2O2. The enhanced hydroxylation activity and improved selectivity on the hydroxylated products were obtained under CO2 expanded system even at moderate pressures. It is known that CO2 expanded system contribute to the solubility enhancement of reactants and volume expansion as well, which result in activity enhancement. In this system, M-TUD-1 catalysts could be operated one-step hydroxylation of benzene under more greener than solvent used by replacing with gaseous CO2 together with hydrogen peroxide in water |
