제목 Determination of Rate Constants for Destruction of EDTA by Mediated Electrochemical Oxidation Process
초록 In the present study the Mediated Electrochemical Oxidation (MEO) process with cerium and nitric acid as the oxidizing medium was employed for the destruction of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) in a continuous feeding mode. The control parameters in the process were the system temperature, concentration of nitric acid, cerium(IV) concentration, aqueous EDTA concentration, flow rate of EDTA addition, and feeding time. A new model was proposed for calculating the remaining organic in MEO solution during a continuous process of organic addition followed by destruction and hence CO2 produced. It showed a way for large organic destruction in a long time MEO process treatment. Experimental results confirmed that the modeling predictions were accurate.
