Ring-opening polymerization of propylene oxide by using double metal cyanide complexes. |
초록 |
Ring-opening polymerization of propylene oxide was successfully carried out by using double-metal cyanide catalysts prepared by ZnCl2 and K3 [Co(CN)6] in the presence of lactate as a complexing agent. Ring-opening polymerization of propylene oxide with polypropylene glycol as initiator is tuned by using quaternary ammonium salt(QAS) as external additives. The catalysts are highly active and yield polyols that have low unsaturation and narrow molecular weight distribution (MWD) compared with similar polyols synthesized using conventional KOH catalysis The structure of polymerization was characterized with IR and NMR. Number-average molecular weight (Mn) and molecular distribution of polymer were measured by GPC. |
