Transparent multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) thin films were manufactured by spin-coating of acid-treated MWCNT (aMWCNT) solutions including poly(amic acid) (PAA) binder as a polyimide precursor. For the purpose, aMWCNT was prepared by treating pristine MWCNT with nitric acid and sulfuric acid and PAA was synthesized by the reaction of pyromellitic dianhydride and 4,4`-diaminodiphenylether in N,N-dimethylacetamide(DMAc) and γ-butyrolactone(GBL) solvents. The thickness of the aMWCNT thin films was controlled by varying the number of spin-coating of aMWCNT/PAA solutions and following imidization cycles. The morphological features of the aMWCNT/PI thin films were identified by using SEM. The optical transmittance of the thin films with different thickness was evaluated by UV-Vis spectrometer. The sheet resistance and electric heating behavior of the aMWCNT thin films were examined by using multiple sourcemeter, ohmmeter, and infrared camera. |
