제목 Pt-promoted Mo/HZSM-5 catalysts for ethane dehydroaromatization
초록   Recently, shale gas emerges as one of the most important energy resources due to the development of its production techniques. Similar to the conventional natural gas, shale gas consists of the majority of methane and ethane, with small amount of other gaseous hydrocarbons and impurities. Hence, many researches for the production of valuable chemicals by using ethane as well as methane have been studied extensively.

  Ethane dehydroaromatization (EDH) is the reaction to synthesize aromatic compounds such as benzene, toluene, xylene from ethane directly. As to EDH catalysts, the active site, which related with the activation of ethane, and acid site, which responsible for oligomerization/ aromatization, are essential, so bifunctional Mo/HZSM-5 catalyst has been widely studied.

  In this study, Pt is added to Mo/HZSM-5 catlayst for ethane dehydroaromatization to promote the formation of active species of molybdenum, and to improve the catalytic activity of catalysts.
