Determination and Correlation of Molar Excess Enthalpies of Ethyl Acetate + Benzene Mixtures containing Dissolved Inorganic Salts at 303.15 K |
초록 |
This paper presents the effect of five dissolved inorganic salts (sodium chloride, calcium chloride, zinc chloride, cadmium chloride, and ammonium chloride) on the enthalpy of mixing of the ethyl acetate + benzene binary system measured at 303.15 K using an isothermal displacement calorimeter with vapor space. A significantly decreasing trend in excess enthalpy values towards the negative direction for the salts ammonium chloride and sodium chloride, and an insignificant but small changes in the excess enthalpy for the salts calcium chloride, zinc chloride, cadmium chloride were noticed. The experimental values of the enthalpy of mixing were fitted into a modified Redlich-Kister equation, and the deviations and parameters are reported. Importance of the solute-solvent interaction is demonstrated by the reduced excess enthalpy of mixing (HE) values towards the negative direction with increasing salt (sodium chloride) concentration. |
