In this study, new binder polymers were synthesized to improve the compatibility with colorants. The polymers were synthesized by free radical polymerization using various monomers, such as methacrylic acid, styrene, methyl methacrylate, butyl methacrylate, isobornyl methacrylate, and dicyclopentanyl methacrylate. The synthesized polymers were characterized in terms of their compositions, thermal properties, and solubility. The synthesized binder polymers showed better dispersion of colorants than the conventional binder polymer. |
