제목 Plasmon-Induced Intermolecular Coupling with Gold Nanoparticles and Visible Light
초록 C-C bond formation is one of the important synthetic strategies in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry and biochemistry. Conventionally, most coupling reaction have used transition metal-based catalysts such as Pd, Ni and Cu. And the most C-C coupling reactions have required high temperatures and toxic organic solvents to obtain new materials. To overcome these issues we adopted photocatalysis technique which used catalysts and light for the C-C coupling reaction. In this study, we demonstrated plasmonic gold-catalyzed intermolecular C-C bond formation under visible light and mild reaction conditions. Also we discover that the mechanism of the coupling reaction in our system have proceeded differently from the conventional coupling mechanism.
