제목 Mass Production of Graphene Nanoplatelets via Top-Down Approaches and Their Applications
초록 The large-quantity preparation of high-quality graphene nanosheets is an important challenge in graphene research community. Here, we demonstrate efficient and eco-friendly methods for the scalable synthesis of low-cost and high-quality graphene. The approach involves edge-selective functionalization of graphite as a precursor for graphene via a “direct” covalent attachment of organic molecular wedges and/or functional groups to the edges of pristine graphite. It is an important step toward high-yield exfoliation of three-dimensional graphite into two-dimensional graphene nanosheets without basal plane distortion. Our findings suggest that the edge-selectively functionalized graphite can be prepared and conveniently used as base materials for a wide range of applications from wet chemistry to device applications.
