Graphite has been used as an anode material in lithium-ion battery, but a definite limitation such as low theoretical capacity (372mAh g-1) is still remained. Graphene-SnO2 which is synthesized by vacuum filtration and microwave can solve the problem because it shows stable structural properties and excellent electrochemical performances. In other words, SnO2 nanoparticles which are decorated on the graphene sheets play a role as pillars to prevent the restacking and have high theoretical capacity (781 mAh g-1). For these reasons, the cycle stability of graphene-SnO2 showed around 1,000 mAh g-1 in 100 mA g-1 during 100 cycles, and maintained high specific capacity (746.8 mAh g-1) even though the current density was increased to 300 mA g-1. Furthermore, the properties of graphene-SnO2 were confirmed by SEM, TEM, XRD, XPS, TGA and CV measurement. |
