제목 Phase Behavior of Block Copolymers containing Poly(vinyl pyridine)
초록 The phase behavior of poly(2-vinyl pyridine)-block-poly(4-vinyl pyridine) (P2VP-b-P4VP) copolymers was investigated by using small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS), rheometry, and static birefringence. The P2VP-b-P4VP copolymers exhibited order-to-disorder transition upon heating, similar to polystyrene-block-poly(2-vinyl pyridine) (PS-b-P2VP) copolymer and polystyrene-block-poly(4-vinyl pyridine) (PS-b-P4VP) copolymer. And we determined temperature-dependent interaction parameter of P2VP/P4VP pair by obtaining SAXS profiles at various temperatures, and curve fitting to the random phase approximation theory. The value of the interaction energy density (or the Flory-Huggins segmental interaction parameter) for P2VP/P4VP pair lies between that for PS/P4VP and PS/P2VP pairs.
