제목 The pH Sensitive Nano-photomedicine for cancer targetable photo-mediated cancer therapy.
초록 Due to the low tumor selectivity of PSs, clinical application of photosensitizers (PS) has been limited. To overcome this limitation, we have developed cancer recognizing pH-sensitive nano-photomedicine for photodynamic cancer therapy. The pH sensitive nano-photomedicine had a slightly negatively charged surface at physiological pH (pH 7.4) and positively charged surface at acidic tumor pH (pH 6.5). This property enhanced cellular internalization of pH sensitive nano-photomedicine at acidic tumor pH compared to normal pH, resulting in a superior cancer cell killing effect. These results indicate that pH-sensitive nano-photomedicine has the potential to be applied to the design of an advanced photosensitizer for photodynamic cancer therapy.
