제목 High Volumetric Capacitance and Stability of Covalent-Bonded Pseudocapacitive CNT Hybrid Electrodes for Supercapacitor
초록 We introduce ultrathin supercapacitor electrodes with high performance based on pseudocapacitive carbon nanotube (CNT) hybrids and conductive CNTs. The CNTs coated by pseudocapacitive nanoparticles (PC-CNT) were assembled by a ligand-exchange layer-by-layer (LbL) method with amine-functionalized CNTs (NH2–CNT) in organic solution. This process allows for control of the film thickness without the binders and the high packing density of the active materials in limited volume. The highly porous NH2–CNT/PC–CNT electrodes demonstrated high volumetric capacitance and cycling stability. The volumetric capacitance of the NH2–CNT/Fe3O4–CNT and NH2–CNT/MnO–CNT electrodes were 394 and 674 F cm-3 at 1 A cm-3. These performances were maintained without loss even after 10,000 cycles. Furthermore, considering that different PC NPs can be easily applied for the CNT hybrids, our strategy could be useful for designing the ultrathin energy storage devices.
