Self-assembled structures of the amphiphile molecules attracted lots of interest for their applications as templates for the synthesis of complex structured materials. In this study, the self-assembled structures of a bolaamphiphile molecule, bis(N-α-amido-glycylglycine)-1,7-heptanedicarboxylate, were applied as templates for the synthesis of polymeric microtubes and metal oxide nanoparticles. With the aid of a designer peptde that has specific affinity to the target materials, the electroconducting polymer was selectively deposited on the tubular template. In addition, the metal oxide nanoparticles were grown inside of the ring-shaped self-assembled structure of bolaamphiphile molecule. |
