제목 Acid Treated Multiwalled Carbon Nanotube as an Electrode Material for Microbial Fuel Cells
초록 Microbial fuel cells (MFCs) are bio-electrochemical devices that use microorganisms as catalysts to directly generate electricity from oxidation of organic matter. We constructed a set of two-chambered MFCs and examined a new type of electrode architecture by coating acid treated multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) onto a graphite felt (GF), which forms a highly conductive electrode with a high specific surface area in MFCs. The surface modifications by acid treatment showed a better electrochemical performance than that of unmodified GF electrodes.
