제목 Kidney-derived extracellular matrix hydrogel for renal regeneration
초록 Hydrogels are crosslinked three-dimensional polymeric network structure, which can absorb and retain considerable amounts of water. They can be made to mimic structure and function of extracellular matrix (ECM). ECM plays an important developmental role by regulating cell behavior through structural and biochemical stimulation. Hydrogels can be derived from tissue/organ – specific ECM through the process of decellularization. It is hypothesized that ECM-based hydrogel may retain bioactive signaling cues from the native tissue/organ as well as modulate cell-material interactions and response. In this study, we developed a porcine kidney decellularized ECM-based hydrogel for renal regeneration application. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) micrographs of decellularized ECM-based hydrogel showed the matrix structure of ECM after processing. Gelation time determination and rheological analysis was done. Cell viability and gene expression analysis were also performed for initial observation of kidney decellularized ECM hydrogel in in vitro mode.
