제목 Facile Exfoliation of MoS2 using Cryogenic Treatment
초록 Mono-layered molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) has various applications in catalysis, lubrication, electrodes, etc. Although exfoliation of bulk MoS2 which includes ultra-sonication, chemical weathering, and ball mill method is popular way to obtain the mono-layered MoS2 methods, it requires much time over a week and equipment. This study has focused on a cryogenic treatment of the bulk MoS2 as an alternative method for exfoliation. After the dispersion of the bulk MoS2 in NaOH aqueous solution for 20h, the mixture was treated in cryogenic condition for 0.5h followed by drying at room temperature for 1 day. After the treatment was repeated for three times, it was demonstrated that exfoliation of MoS2 was successfully achieved, as confirmed by XRD measurement.
