We have designed and synthesized novel hybrid composites consisting of nickel manganese oxide nanostructure with hierarchical porous carbon using three different concentrations of metal precursor solution. The HPC serves as the physical support and charge transport due to its porosity. The polyanthracene based materials are synthesized from bromomethylated anthracene that is formed by self-polymerization using anhydrous zinc bromide as the Friedel-Crafts catalyst and bromomethyl methyl ether as a cross linker. The 3D network carbon materials are synthesized by direct carbonization and activation of as-prepared PAT. The micro-, meso-, and macroporous 3-D carbon materials show large specific surface area, electrolyte-electrode interface area and continuous electron transport paths. The NiMn2O4/carbon nanohybrid materials have also been synthesized by a hydrothermal method, producing high-performance pseudo-capacitor electrodes. |
