제목 Physically/Biologically Stimulated Bone Regeneration through Nano/Micro Porous Guided Bone Regeneration Membrane
초록 Bone healing with sufficient mechanical strength continues to be a challenge in a variety of clinical areas including oral, maxillofacial, orthopedic, and plastic surgery. A guided bone regeneration (GBR) membrane, which can provide a space around the bone defect, prevent fibrous scar tissue invasion into the defect, and thus promote bone healing, have widely been utilized as a simple therapeutic technique for effective bone regeneration. In our previous study, we developed a GBR membranes with selective permeability (to prevent fibrous scar tissue infiltration but permeate nutrients), hydrophilicity. In this study, we applied physical (ultrasound) and biological (BMP-2) stimulations at the asymmetrically porous GBR membranes for more enhanced bone regeneration. From the animal study, we recognized that the both stimulations have positive and synergistic effects on the bone regeneration through the GBR membrane (Grant Sponsor: Korea Ministry for Health and Welfare, No. 2011-A100140).
