제목 Spherical colloidal photonic crystal for multicolor domain
초록 3D spherical type of photonic crystal shows constant structural color regardless of viewing angle due to anisotropic structure. If the 3D spherical photonic crystal is composed of core-shell domain, complicated multi color and intensity peak will be appeared. In order to fabricate core-shell domain photonic crystal, first, we crystallized colloidal suspension with osmotic annealing process. Subsequently oil shell acting as a semipermeable membrane is removed and colloidal photonic crystal(CPC) is exposed to another environment to change a distance between the colloidal particles which leads core-shell domain CPC. Therefore, two reflectance peaks caused by core-shell domain were appeared. To solve stability issue, we used PVP-decorated polystyrene colloidal particles synthesized as emulsion polymerization to form adhesion between polystyrene and PVP entanglements.
