Polycrystalline CuInSe2 thin filmsare considered as one of the most important light absorbers in the family of I-III-VI2 type ternary chalcopyrite materials for solar cells. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of annealing temperature on the CuInSe2 thin films deposited by a non-vacuum spray process in low cost for solar cells. The morphology, structural, and optical properties of the CuInSe2 films deposited on the glass substrate were investigated. Scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction spectrometer were employed to study surface morphologies and structural changes, respectively. From the results, we confirm that post-annealing temperature exerted an effect on the physical properties of the CuInSe2 films prepared by the solution-based spray method under ambient conditions. The estimated optical band gap was ~1.55 eV. |
