Bone Regeneration Using pDNA Complex-Loaded PCL/HA Microspheres in a Rat Model |
초록 |
Recently, tissue engineering technique combined with a gene delivery system has been considered as one of the promising therapeutic methods for tissue regeneration. In this study, pDNA (BMP-2 encoding) complex-loaded polycaprolactone (PCL)/hyaluronic acid (HA) microspheres were simply prepared by a spray/precipitation method using a double nozzle spray. The pDNA complex was efficiently loaded in the PCL/HA microspheres and continuously released from the microspheres for a long period of time. The bone regeneration behavior of the pDNA complex-loaded PCL/HA microspheres were investigated using a skull defect rat model. The pDNA complex-loaded PCL/HA microspheres showed faster bone regeneration than the control (blank) and PCL/HA microspheres without pDNA. |
