제목 Synthesis of Aliphatic Polycarbonate Initiated by Various Polyols and Catalyzed by Double Metal Cyanide Catalyst with Carbon Dioxide/Epoxides Copolymerization
초록 The fixation of carbon dioxide (CO2) to polymeric materials and plant oils such as soybean oil (SBO), castor oil (CO) and palm oil (PO) is one of the most environment friendly researches. CO2 and plant oils is an ideal synthetic feedstock since it is abundant and inexpensive. Copolymerization of CO2 with alicyclic epoxides (Cyclohexene oxide/Vinyl cyclohexene dioxide) and polyols initiated by SBO/CO/PO have been carried out using double metal cyanide (DMC) catalyst. Polyol was synthesized by ring opening polymerization of propylene oxide using plant oil as a macro initiator and DMC catalyst. The physical and mechanical properties resulting of Polycarbonates were characterized by gel permeation chromatography, universal testing machine, thermogarvimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimetry and various spectroscopic techniques.
