Polydiacetylene (PDA) is a conjugated polymer in which blue-to-red color transition and non-fluorescence to red fluorescence take place in response to external stimulus. To understand the structure and properties of PDA vesicles in depth, Raman spectroscopy is a powerful probe to be not only used for analytic approach but also developed into a detecting device, as well. Despite the potential applicability of Raman signal of PDA materials as a sensor, not much study has been carried on. In this study, we have fundamentally observed Raman spectra of PDA under in-situ condition by heating and cooling to test the possibility of Raman spectroscopy to be developed into a sensor. We investigated the change in intensity and peak shifts of PDA vesicles with respect to its thermochromic characteristics. |
