제목 Effects of Pd precursor on the catalytic properties of Pd/CeO2 for methane and CO oxidation
초록 Supported Pd catalysts, such as Pd/CeO2 have attracted much attraction because of their excellent catalytic activities for oxidation reactions. However, the high price of noble metal limits the usage of Pd catalysts for industry. Therefore, optimization of active Pd phase is an important issue for synthesizing highly active catalyst with low Pd loading. It is widely reported that the state of Pd is highly dependent on the preparation method. However, to the best of our knowledge, there is no previous research studying the effects of Pd precursor on the catalytic properties of Pd/CeO2. In this work, Pd/CeO2 catalysts were prepared by using different Pd precursors. The prepared catalysts were applied to the methane and CO oxidation reactions. It was revealed that the Pd precursors strongly influenced the catalytic activities of Pd/CeO2. The effects of Pd precursor on the Pd state and catalytic activity were investigated by using various characterization techniques.
