제목 The effect of sericin on the gelation and dehydration behavior of silk protein
초록 Silk fiber, which is spun by silkworm, consists of two protein, silk fibroin (SF) and silk sericin (SS). In the silk spinning process, the interaction between SF and SS has not known well in detail. In the present study, we observed the gelation and dehydration kinetics of aqueous SF solution in the presence of SS. In order to study the effect of the state of SF and SS, mixed and phase separation conditions were prepared. Finally wet spinning of concentrated aqueous silk solution with different sericin ratio was performed. The resultant fiber was characterized by FE-SEM, FT-IR, and XRD and mechanical testing instrument.
