In recent years it has been shown that electrically conducting polymers such as polyaniline(PANI) in integrated coating applications are able to protect steel from corrosion. In this work, we studied the comparative corrosion protection performance of the coatings containing polyaniline and polyaniline/TiO2 nanocomposite. The surface-treated TiO2 particles were characterized by FTIR, XRD, TEM. The corrosion protection performance of the coatings was evaluated by impedance spectroscopy(EIS). The polyaniline/TiO2 enhanced the corrosion protection performance of coating. |
