Highly acidic crude oils generally contain naphthenic acids, which can cause the corrosion of equipment in refinery industries. Therefore, efficient removal methods of naphthenic acids are strongly requited in petroleum refineries. Recently, due to an increased demand of acidic heavy oils having a high TAN (total acid number), catalytic decarboxylation of naphthenic acids has been largely proposed to remove the naphthenic acids from crude oils. In the present study, the synthesized ferrierite@g-C3N4 catalyst was applied for decarboxylation reaction using the catalyst having a different weight ratio of the g-C3N4/ferrierite from 0.5 to 1.5 to verify the synergy effects of ferrierite@g-C3N4. |
