Fabrication of bio-based polymeric substrates for flexible and transparent conducting films with high thermal resistance |

Recently, flexible and transparent conducting films have been researched as the vital component in the electronics field to fabricate flexible optoelectronic devices. Many research groups are trying to develop flexible and transparent conducting films using polyethylene terephthalate or polyimide as the substrates. However, such polymeric substrates suffer from the low glass transition temperature (Tg) or the high coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE). Here we report the bio-based polymeric substrates for flexible and transparent conducting films with high thermal resistance using bioplastics prepared from heterocyclic monomers. The films exhibit good mechanical properties, high optical transparency, as well as excellent thermal stabilities such as high Tg and low CTE. |
