제목 | An Alignment of C2C12 Myotubes with Functionalized Metallic Nanoparticles on Magnetic Field |
초록 | C2C12 myotubes on the application of electrical signals lead the development of muscle tissue engineering including bio-actuators and muscle tissue regeneration. To maximize the contractility of electrical signals, analignment of C2C12 myotubes is required. In this study, we present a new strategy to enhance the alignment of C2C12 skeletal muscle cells via magnetism of metallic nanoparticles. We used functionalized iron oxide nanoparticles(fIONPs) with amine groups to conjugate with biomaterials such as fibronectin and RGD which are suitable for cell adhesion. These fIONPs were facilitated to cultivate the myotubes unidirectionally in vitro. The formation of myotubes was controlled by the magnetic field varying strength, period, and interval. Overall, this new strategy to align C2C12 myotubes using biomaterials and fIONPs would be actively utilized for cell culture system and bio-robots in the tissue engineering. |
