제목 Functionalized Ionic Liquids as Potential Electrolytes
초록 Ionic liquids (ILs) have been considered as promising alternative electrolytes for their unique properties including high thermal, chemical, and electrochemical stability, high ionic conductivity, negligible vapor pressure, and low flammability. Although imidazolium-based ILs have been extensively studied, the attempts to use these ILs as electrolyte for electrochemical devices were not very successful due to the migration of imidazolium cations along with lithium ions as well as to their low cathodic stability for the presence of acidic C-2 hydrogen atom. The attempts of introducing functional group on ILs to improve the electrochemical properties of ILs and their effects will be discussed.
