The unusual viscoelastic properties of a reactive interface. |

Recently, we observed an unusual increase of the complex viscosity in a reactive bilayer consisting of mono-carboxylated terminated polystyrene (PS-mCOOH) and poly(methyl methacrylate-ran-glycidylmethacrylate) (PMMA-GMA). This large increase in viscoelastic properties could not be expected by well-known equation describing two perpendicular layer. We consider that this behavior would be attributed to the large extent of interface undulation. To study systematically the effect of the interface undulation, we used two plates with different thicknesses. |
