In this paper, super absorbent polymer has high porosity, high permeability, fast swelling rate which is fabricated via Pickering high internal phase emulsion template was investigated to resolve 'gel-blocking' problem occurred existing sieved particle form polymers. This work presented open porous structure fabricated only with hydrophilic nanoparticles and also very stable Pickering emulsion made with depletants and polymerizable contents in continuous phase by depletion attraction strategy. Number of pore throats and permeability of bulk porous structure are actually affected by internal volume fraction. When 0.80 of internal volume fraction of oil phase, polymerized porous super absorbent polymer was impermeable to aqueous fluids. But after increasing volume fraction of oil, increased number of open pores were observed by SEM also polymer permeable to aqueous fluids. Also swelling rates, pore sizes varied with internal volume fraction were investigated. |
