제목 Synthesis and properties of ether modified polydimethylsiloxane based polyurethanes/POSS composites
초록 In our research, three series of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) based polyurethane (PU)/POSS composites are synthesized by one-step bulk polymerization using ether or polyether modified PDMS diol/polyol prepolymers, isophorone diisocyanate and either non-reactive or reactive POSS. The effect of POSS on PDMS-PU incorporated chemically or physically is investagted in terms of mechanical, thermal and ablation properties. Tensile test shows that reactive POSS/PU gives higher flexibility while inert POSS/PU increases the modulus greatly. Thermal stability is enhanced by reactive POSS but decreased by inert POSS caused by evaporation. Flame resistance of PDMS based PUs is improved by the incorporation of POSSs. Both types of POSSs are found to improve ablation proerties by oxy-acetylene torch test.
