제목 | Effect of acid treatment on mechanical properties of PPS/PA composites |
초록 | PPS and PA are used in automobile and electric devices materials due to their good heat resistance, chemical resistance, and high tensile strength. It would be desired to blend PPS with PA, which should provide useful polymer alloys with the balanced properties and advantages from individual components. However, PPS/PA composites show low compatibility which results in deterioration on mechanical properties. This work has been carried out on the structural change of polymer surface via acid treatment, in order to overcome these disadvantages. Preparation and characterization of PPS modification were investigated by FTIR and to examine the melt behavior of PPS/PA composites using DSC. Furthermore, surface morphology and mechanical properties was evaluated. |
