Organic-inorganic hybrid materials are recognized as a new class of advanced materials because they can be synthesized using versatile approaches. Inorganic materials, such as silica, exhibit excellent thermal stability and hardness. Especially, Mesoporous materials are potential candidates for a variety of applications, in the fields of catalysis, seperation, drug delivery or electrical insulation. Among the polymers, polyimides(PIs) are widely used in microelectronic and photonic fields because of their good thermal and mechanical stability. We have fabricated mesoporous materials through surfactant-templated condensation of tetraethyl orthosilicate(TEOS). PIs using pyromellictic dianhydride(PMDA)- 4,4’-oxydianiline(ODA) are prepared and processed in the form of water-soluble PAS(polyamic acid ammonium salt) due to great advantages from the economical and ecological points. Finally, we prepared and characterized the hybrid materials from PAS and TEOS |
