제목 Effect of sonication process in polymer/clay nanocomposites
초록 Carbon dioxide is the favorite solvent in SCF processes because it has relatively low critical temperature and pressure and because it is inexpensive, nonflammable, nontoxic, and readily available. However, it is generally not a good solvent for dissolving high molecular weight polymers with the exception of fluoropolymers and siloxane polymers. On the other hand, hydrocarbon solvents and hydrochlorofluorocarbons have been known to be good solvents for a variety of high molecular weight polymers. In this study, we prepared the polymer/clay nanocomposites using supercritical fluids. Cloisites 15A,30B used in this study are natural montmorillonites modified with a quaternary ammonium salt. And also the Na+-MMT was modified by a fluorinated surfactant(FSM-clay) in which the fluorinated tail is chlorodifluoromethane (HCFC-22)-philic and thus can help provide exfoliation in scHCFC-22. The nanocomposites of polymer/clay were charaterized by XRD, TGA, DSC and TEM
