To achieve the superhigh speed telecommunication systems, the development of integrated planar waveguide-typed amplifiers is extremely essential. However, the amplification gain of current amplifiers is not enough for amplifying the optical signals in small-sized photonic devices. To maximize the optical amplification efficiency, we have investigated the new structures and synthesis of the erbium(III)-cored supramolecules based on porphyrins and new aryl-ether type dendron. 5,10,15-Triphenyl-20-(4-carboxyphenyl)porphyrin was prepared by the acid-catalyzed condensation of aldehyde and pyrrole (mixed aldehyde method). Also, we synthesized the metalloporphyrins (Zn-porphyrin, Pt-porphyrin). And we synthesized the new aryl-ether type dendron containing naphthalene moiety for the light-harvesting antenna system. Their structures were identified by FT-IR, 1SuperscriptH-NMR, UV-Vis absorption and emission spectroscopies. We synthesized the Er(III)-cored supramolecular complexes based on porphyrins. The synthesized complexes were characterized by the FT-IR, 1SuperscriptH-NMR, ICP, UV-Vis and near IR emission spectroscopies. In this presentation, the synthetic routes and their optical properties of Er(III)-cored supramolecular complexes based on porphyrins will be discussed. |
