Polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) has been used as a barrier coating material due to their high oxygen barrier property. However, PVA coated film has a poor water vapor barrier level, for reasons of the high solubility of PVA in water. To decrease the water vapor transmission rate (WVTR), the barrier layer was prepared to reduce the water affinity by interaction between PVA and POSS. The POSS has been in Organic-inorganic hybrid nanocomposite materials. Organic–inorganic hybrid nanocomposite materials have been regarded as a new generation of high performance materials since they combine the advantages of inorganic materials (rigidity, high stability) and those of organic polymers (flexibility, dielectric property, ductility, and processability). In this work, we prepared films consist of PVA-MMT/Methyl Methacryl Polyhedral Oligomeric Silsesquioxane (MAP_POSS) by using bar-coater. |
