제목 | Cooling Crystallization of Syrup by addition of antisolvent. |
초록 | In order to obtain crystals of high purity using syrup of low purity, there is a method a crystallization. Sugar crystallization of syrup should also take into account the solubility and the viscosity of the solution. Solubility is a parameter that confirm crystal growth and nucleation. Viscosity is related to the behavior of the molecule. Sugar has a high viscosity at high solubility and is difficult to grow and nucleate crystals. In this study, Cooling crystallization was carried out by changing the antisolvent ratio to 80~88wt%. The solubility, viscosity, and density of the solution were determined by the temperature. Seeds were injected to induce nucleation and crystal growth. Nucleation and crystal growth were monitored in real time under a microscope. The higher the ratio of antisolvent, the lower the difference in solubility with temperature. As a result, it was confirmed that the supersaturation was lowered and the crystal growth was superior to the nucleation. |
