제목 Ultrathin, Ultra-lightweight, Free-standing Flexible Thermoelectrics Based on Au Doped CNT Fiber
초록 Thermoelectric generator is quite attractive in harvesting low-grade waste heat to supply electricity particularly to small devices such as bio-sensor, wireless communication units and wearable electronics. However, conventional thermoelectric materials are often brittle, expensive, toxic and heavy. To overcome such problem, we developed high performance wearable thermoelectrics with ultrathin, ultra-lightweight, and free-standing nature through gold nanoparticle decoration on the surface of carbon nanotube. The maximum value of electrical conductivity and Seebeck coefficient of Au doped CNT fiber was up to 2078 S cm-1 and 122 μV K-1 respectively. Consequently, the maximum thermoelectric power factor at room temperature reached to 2079 μWm-1k-2. We also evaluated the power output of thermoelectric module, which consist of CNT fiber doped with Au nanoparticles in optimized condition, exhibiting 0.3 μW with 5 legs.
