제목 Highly Dispersible and Magnetically Retrievable Catalytic Colloids in Aqueous and Organic Media Using Layer-by-Layer Assembly
초록 The recyclable multicatalytic colloids with high dispersion stability in aqueous and organic media are prepared using layer-by-layer (LbL) assembly. Functional nanoparticles (NPs) can be densely coated into the multilayer on the colloids. The high dispersion stability of colloids can be determined by the ultrathin outermost layer of the colloids. We have used Fe3O4, Pd, and TiO2 NPs because these NPs have been studied as representative materials for intrinsic magnetic and catalytic properties as a model system. These NPs were LbL-assembled with NH2-dendrimers onto SiO2 colloids using ligand exchange reaction between the hydrophobic ligands and the amine groups of the dendrimers. The resultant nanocomposite colloids showed multicatalytic properties in aqueous and organic media. This approach can provide a basis for the preparation of recyclable catalytic colloids and high dispersion stability in various solvents.
