제목 Hexene-Functionalized Graphitic Nanoplatelets for Reinforcing Polyvinyl Chloride
초록 Hexene-functionalized graphitic nanoplatelets (HGnPs) were prepared by mechanochemical reaction with graphite and 1-hexene. Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) containing various proportions of HGnPs was prepared by a solution process because HGnPs were dispersed easily inorganic solvents (e.g. THF). HGnPs improved the various properties of PVC nanocomposites due to the outstanding properties of HGnPs and chemical affinity with PVC. HGnP/PVC_X nanocomposites show improved mechanical properties and thermal stability compared to pure PVC. The mechanical strength of PVC improved with increasing GnP content. Therefore, HGnP/PVC nanocomposites have great potential to be used as high performance composites in many fields.
