Preparation of Visible Light Curable Hyaluronic Acid Derivative and Its Protein Immobilization Effect |

Visible-light reactive hyaluronic acid derivatives (F-HA) was prepared by introducing furfuryl group. The carboxyl group of hyaluronic acid was replaced with acyl chloride as reacting with thionyl chloride. Then furfuryl group was introduced through a reaction with furfuryl amine and hyaluronic acid modified acyl chloride. Successful introduction of furfuryl group to COOH group of HA is confirmed using 1H NMR. The curing ratio according to concentration of F-HA and irradiation time of light was calculated. Photo-crosslinking was measured by micropatterning. F-HA is considered that it could be applied to various health medical fields in the way that F-HA could immobilize protein. Releasing shape of immobilized protein was measured by protein releasing assay. To reveal whether F-HA has cytotoxicity, WST assay was performed and there was no cytotoxicity subsequently. |
